Course Overview
Recruitment and the selection process is one of the key management tools. The cost of making a mistake is often concealed, but its massive and avoidable do it right – that’s the theme for this international program. It’s not by chance that Intel, Google and Apple are all successful – they all have outstanding recruitment processes, which are never compromised.
In this training course, attendees will learn the latest process and techniques covering all critical steps of interviewing. This course will also review all the desirable attributes, qualities and styles to be successful at screening, interviewing, evaluating applicants and employees. Attendees will learn principles and frameworks, do’s and don’ts, and explore best practice examples from large organizations. Attendees will have the opportunity to build a screening, interviewing, and evaluating portfolio through the various practical workshops that will be undertaken during the course.

- Be able to write recruitment criteria and precise scoreable interview questions.
- Know and be able to explain to others the value of using different types of testing.
- Have used a personality profile and be able to explain to others their value for recruiting and development.
- Be able to decode different types of body language, specifically when people are not telling the truth.
- Have practiced interviewing to ensure the theory is put into practice and be able to carry out or lead a professional interview immediately upon returning to work.
- Have practiced their interview skills in ‘mock interviews.
- Know how to take effective notes and keep adequate records after the interview.
- Know how to evaluate, rate, and score evidence gained in an interview/assessment.
- Have explored ways of giving useful feedback to unsuccessful applicants after interviews (and short-listing if required).
